Haad Yuan Beach
There's no doubt that Haad Yuan is an extraordinary beach. It provides a unique ambience of remote beach and reminded the "old good Koh Phangan". Haad Yuan lies on the peaceful southeastern coast of Koh Phangan. Located only three kilometres south of Haad Yao (east) and five kilometres from Haad Rin on the mountain path. it provides a unique ambience of remote beach.
On the east of Koh Phangan, It is one of three small, white sand beaches that are grouped together on this stretch of the east coast, the others being Haad Tian and Haad Wai Nam, about half a kilometre from each other. All three have long been home to escapees from Haad Rin, and have a real old school Phangan vibe going on. There is a decent drop off and the absence of a coral reef allows for year round swimming in these secluded bays.
You will see the crystal blue sea at the front and the rush tropical forest climbing up along the mountain at the back. That makes it ideal for watching the sunrise and the moon on full moon night. It is also a great place for sunbathing and swimming.
Access is only possible by boat; or for experienced walkers, there's the mountain path. The weather can get a bit rough on the east coast, so be careful not to get stranded if boats cannot run.
